I recently had to review Nicholas Ray’s We Can’t Go Home Again for CHUD. I was touched and inspired by this wild old man whose drive and gut instinct kept him shooting until he was 80. The man never bent to any Hollywood authorities or ate cheese for the man. Watching him work made me feel like a tired old fossil.
